Argumentative Love

Specially for propose day..... 

Few proposed, few accepted and few wanted to remain friends and few were afraid of falling in love. It takes lot of courage to tell your loved one that you love her and the same courage required for something called reciprocation from other side. 

My dear friend its argumentative only because we calculate everywhere but few things are not meant for profit and loss....those just do exist...

Finally I told her about my feelings but couldn’t tell her how much I love her. She must be interpreting my so called proposal in many different ways and now I am blank as what to tell her. With this experience and after getting inspiration from Sir Amritya Sen, I gave title to my love.

The book ‘The Argumentative Indian’ which is a composition of many essays written by Sir Amritya Sen is a very good book and I personally advise people to read it once.

Anyways I should not divert myself from the muse for what I am writing. People may say, “I am falling in love and it is very beautiful when you start loving someone.” And no offense, they must be right about it. But I met with different kind of feeling today and it is not only love but it is ‘Argumentative Love’. Though it is not a good feeling but I felt good when I presented my views. 

 

Let’s see what happened between us:-

I :- Listen ...I want to say something to you.(I hope she got  a clue of what I was upto)

She :- Yes, tell me. (With curiosity-Like Man Main Laddu Phoota)

I :- (Was really not aware what the response would be) See..., I was not born with silver spoon and not even an Iron Spoon, aur JO BHI KERNA HAI APNE DUM PE KERNA HAI. You may have expectations from your kind of boy and there is a possibility I am not the one and there also could be a possibility that I don’t fill the single criteria of your checklist but I LOVE YOU.... (Really don’t know what must be going in her mind, she must be shocked because she thinks of me as a practical guy)

 

There was immense silence at least for 30 or 40 seconds and sudden some trembling voice touched my eardrum...

She :- I really understand and respect your feelings but I am not ready for this. Also, I need some time to think about it.

I :- I never denied for time,take your time but don’t make a bridge of Yes or No and I don’t want you to be illusion for me.

She :- I am afraid if you don’t continue the friendship.

I didn’t reply on that and made sure indirectly that irrespective of yes or no, friendship will never die and we winded up the conversation for the day after wishing each other ‘Good Night’. But who knows, Ki Soyega Kaun aur Abhi Neend Kise Aani Hai and the same had happened. I was cool because I had loosened my burden by saying what I had in my heart and real debate was going on the other side. I had only prayed the whole night that things would go right.

Expected things happened in morning, I heard my ringing phone which was displaying the name ‘Do not Call Her’ because I didn’t want this to be discussed again from my side and hence I changed her name in my cell phone. Firstly I thought of not attending it but heart wins over mind and I picked up the call and following is the conversation:

I :- Hi, how are you?

She :- I am fine and what’s plan today.........

After talking 5 minutes on different things we finally came to our so called topic ‘Argumentative Love”, we talked about it, shared the thoughts and so on but still there is neither yes nor no.

One side she says, “I have nothing in my heart for you” and other sides she says, “by saying no today I don’t want to regret it tomorrow”.

That’s the reason I gave it title “Argumentative Love” not because it is argumentative from both sides, but it is argumentative only from her side.
